How You Can Help

There’s no doubt about it, 2016 has had some really truly horrible events occur throughout, and while in between these global disasters we may have all been able to find a bit of light in our personal lives and still find moments to have fun and enjoy ourselves and spend time doing things that make us happy, it’s been impossible to ignore the tragic events that have unfolded throughout this year. It’s heartbreaking to think back to all that has happened, and all that is still happening.

Red Christmas Lips

Red lipstick and Christmas go together like wrapping paper and sellotape, like cheese and wine, like Santa and Rudolph, basically a red lip at Christmas is a given! For me it's the perfect festive makeup item and whether or not you've gone all out full on glam, or minimalistic, a red lip is the perfect addition to any makeup look over Christmas. Luckily lipsticks come in all shapes and sized and all variations of tones and finishes, so there’s a red out there for each of us! It just sometimes takes a little longer to find the one that’s perfect for you, it certainly took a while for me, but now I have three tried and tested, fail safe, utterly festive red lipsticks that are gorgeous all year round, but most importantly for the festive season!

My Favourite Festive Activities

I had the most festive weekend at home last weekend, we put up and decorated our tree, ate mince pies, watched Christmas movies and snuggled in our Christmas PJ’s. I love how cosy and festive our home feels with the decorations and the tree up, it makes me so happy to go home after work and switch the tree lights on and just snuggle up on the sofa and watch something Christmassy. I’ve compiled a list of some of my favourite Christmas related activities to hopefully get you feeling festive, and maybe spark some inspiration if you’re wanting to plan a festive evening for yourself!

A Liberty London Shop | Winter Scents

Going in to Central London in the run up to Christmas is never a task to be taken lightly, there's just a frantic energy everywhere, however there is also something a little bit alluring about seeing the Christmas lights and window displays and feeling the hustle and bustle all around you.

Lush Bath Bomb | Shoot For The Stars

I finally got my hands on the Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb from Lush and oh boy was it worth the wait! This is one of the nicest bath bombs I’ve ever used. From the outside look to the fragrance to the glitter to the colours, everything about this bath bomb is utter perfection and everything I love in a bath bomb. I managed to pick it up last week after endless searching and it being sold out every time I checked in store, luckily there were two left in my local store, so those two came home with me! I used one pretty much straight away and fell in to one of those deep bath experiences where you shut off from everything else and just float around in your bath in a sleep like state (obviously not asleep though as that would be dangerous!)

New Burberry Makeup

A few weeks ago I treated myself to a little makeup splurge (little in quantity not so little in price, oops). Burberry had released a few new products in line with their most recent runway show and I thought the new products looked gorgeous, matte liquid lipsticks, creamy eye-shadow pens, and a new foundation to add to their existing complexion range. I ummed and I ahhed for a few days and then it was all a bit of a blur and the next thing I knew I had an order confirmation and would have my new makeup bits the following day. Burberry are an absolute star and give free next day shipping as standard, as well as beautifully gift wrapping your products, all the more reason to shop with them online, I'm already getting excited for their winter sale! Anyway back to the makeup…

My Four Autumn Staples

Autumn is my favourite time of year for fashion and beauty, there’s nothing I love more than playing around with more darker makeup looks, throwing a big snugly coat on top of every outfit and instantly looking more put together, rocking some ankle boots and soft oversized scarfs. Autumn definitely gets the best reaction from me in terms of wardrobe choices.

Loving New Lush Products

As soon as October arrives I immediately get ready for new Lush products, and this year did not disappoint! With adorable Halloween inspired bath bombs and bubble bars, to firework inspired bath bombs, and then the Christmas collection being released…I have been in bath heaven! Out of all the new bath products I’ve managed to try (I’m still waiting to try the Shooting Stars Bath Bomb, it’s sold out in every store I go to!) there are four that I’ve tried so far and some I have loved more than others, but some have been firm favs. The Mistletoe Bath Bomb, The Northern Lights Bath Bomb, the Pumpkin Bubble Bar and the Ruby Red Slipper Bubble Bar are the new products I’ve been trying out.

The Perfect Oil For Confused Skin | Sunday Riley Artemis

After falling in love with the Luna oil from Sunday Riley it was only a matter of time before I gave in to my inquisitive mind and delved in to another oil from the brand. Around the time I was looking at the other Sunday Riley Oils, my Luna oil had come to an end, and it was the perfect time for me to either repurchase Luna or try something new. Now I really did love Luna, but I decided to go for a new Oil, something that I could use during the day as well as overnight, a feature that you don't get with Luna given the blue tansy in the oil. Today I have for you a loving review of the Sunday Riley Artemis Oil. It's a pricey little thing, £60 for 30ml but I can hand on my heart say that it has absolutely been worth the money!

Autumnal Excitement

  • The weather being cold and crisp yet lots of sunshine, perfect sweater weather.
  • Coats, boots, scarfs & hats!! Dressing in Autumn is so much easier and more fun.
  • Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I’m not ashamed of my love for this delicious drink, I can’t get enough of it!
  • Lush filled baths. As soon as the Halloween and Christmas Lush products are released, I am unstoppable! Instantly stocking up and planning when I’ll have a gorgeous bath with each new product.
  • Netflix & Blankets. Snuggling up on the sofa under a blanket with my boyfriend and our cat, watching Netflix for hours with a hot drink and some popcorn. That’s a pretty good weekend in my books.
  • Berry Lips and Copper Eyes. Makeup in Autumn (and Winter) is so much more exciting, mainly because I know it’s not going to melt off my face the moment I get on a train or a tube. Adding a dark berry lip and a light coppery eye is my ideal duo for Autumn.
  • December. Once October comes I feel that It’s acceptable for me to get pre festive excited. December is the most magical month and I just can’t wait, but refraining from decorating the house, and listening to Christmas music is a bit too much right now, but as soon as Halloween is out the way, you know exactly what I’ll be doing! For now though, I'll just enjoy all my favourite Autumnal things.
Love, Chloe xo

Anniversary Trip to Lille, France

October 3rd is always a pretty special day for me, it marks mine and my boyfriend’s anniversary and this year we celebrated 8 years together! We always like to do a little something to mark the occasion, but often with work schedules and other such things, we don’t always get the opportunity, so we try and do something around the date when we’re both free. This year we decided to book a little last minute trip away, we ended up booking somewhere a bit random but somewhere new for both of us, Lille! We saw pictures of the Grand Place Square and it looked beautiful, and Lille also houses a wonderful museum as well as lovely cobbled authentically French streets. We had a short trip but it was so lovely, we got to explore somewhere new and also relax and enjoy quality time together reminiscing on the past 8 years!

Space NK Beauty Haul & First Impressions

There's currently a super offer over at Space NK to get £15 off when you spend £60 or more, and also free standard delivery over £40! The offer from Space NK is to encourage you to be adventurous and explore new brands and new products, so I decided to do just that. I had a few products that needed replenishing but instead I decided to branch out and try some new items and explore other brands. I haven't used everything extensively so I can only offer my first impressions, but already I'm really loving using these new products, some products I've had my eye on for a while whereas others were just a spur of the moment purchase!

My Favourite Facial Cleansing Products

When it comes to my skin care routine, the part I find most satisfying and look forward to the most (yes I look forward to my skin care routine!) is cleansing my face! I find it so satisfying, getting to see and feel instant results is so enjoyable. Admittedly I am slightly obsessed, I have a bathroom cupboard just dedicated to cleansing skincare products, but with having combination skin that can sometimes be a lot drier, or a lot oilier, or a lot more hormonal, I have different cleansing products that work better for me depending on what my skin is doing. I have 6 standout products, products that I feel are absolute gems and are staples for me with my skin care. I'll try to keep it short and sweet on the key benefits of each product, if you're a cleansing addict like me or are just in the market for something new, I hope this can provide some product inspiration!

Staycation Love | The Cotswolds

I spent a few days last week relaxing with my lovely boyfriend in a beautiful part of the country, The Cotswolds. We both had some time off from work and initially we were going to use it to go abroad for a few days, but we’re currently saving up for a big trip to America early next year so we decided to save our pennies and go and stay with family in a lovely little village in The Cotswolds. We had 4 days of absolute peace and quiet, no public transport (!), no crazy commuters, no busy bustling streets, just fresh country air and big green fields! It was honestly the most relaxing time and I wanted to share a few highlights of the trip with you, including a farm visit, thunderstorms and candle lit evenings snuggled up on the sofa reading books, playing board games and watching movies.

Rogue Eyes For Autumn

When I first saw the Quadra Eyeshadow Palette in Candeur et Experience from the 2016 Chanel Fall Collection, Le Rouge, I was besotted. Chanel have released the most Autumnal inspired makeup collection with the new Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer, Lucia Pica. It's no doubt that Lucia is a big big fan of the colour red, injecting red hues all throughout the collection, making it one of the best Autumn makeup collections I have seen in such a long time. The deep reds, the orange tones, the edgier darker rogue shades, they all contribute to a more sexier, sultry makeup collection, something daring for Chanel, and something daring for those of us out there wanting to revamp our makeup for Autumn and Winter.

A Scent To Confuse The Senses | Diptyque Eau des Sens

The Diptyque fragrances are something ever so special and unique. Each perfume and fragrance smells so different to anything else I’ve ever smelt, which I think is such a special thing to be able to do, create bespoke unique fragrances, that in my opinion have completely their own identity, pulling nothing from any other fragrance from any other brand. It’s the unique quality of the Diptyque fragrances that I absolutely love, it makes them feel so special. I've lusted after them for so long now and I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase one on a Space NK Shopping trip with my mum a few months ago. It stayed in its box for a while, waiting for summer to appear, for it to be able to show off in all its glory, and since June it has been all I've worn perfume wise. It's one of the most stunning scents I've ever smelt, I'm truley obsessed with it. As Summer draws to a close and I welcome Autumn with open arms, I don't feel ready to put this fragrance away just yet.

My Top Two Autumn Lipsticks

Hello September, where did you come from? It feels like this year is just flying by and before we know it we'll be celebrating Christmas and welcoming in another new year! Before I get ahead of myself and start getting exciting about December, there’s a lot that excite me about September, the change of season as we go in to Autumn, or Fall if you prefer the American terminology (I personally love both), not only brings a wardrobe change but also a makeup change. I love getting to change my makeup to match the season and I am seriously looking forward to wearing two of my all-time favourite lipsticks from Burberry.

Origins GinZing Peel Off Face Mask | Review & First Impressions

When I first saw the Origins GinZing Peel Off Face Mask I was initially drawn in by the gorgeous orange copper metallic-esque packaging, as well as the matching formula. Then after reading in to what the mask claims to help achieve, I was even more intrigued and ready to give it ago to see if it was worth the pennies, and by pennies I mean £24 for 75ml. Not much product for a face mask if you ask me, but I was hopeful that it would be worth it anyway.

Summer Loving | Lip Products

I love seasonal makeup, Autumn and Winter being my all time fav, but I can get on board with some Summer brights. In fact these 4 products are staple Summer lip products for me and I adore each of them, Pink is definitely my go to summer colour, but Nude shades I love all year round so I'm so happy I found something in the Nude category to add to my Summer makeup. Mattes, Glosses, Liquid Lipsticks, these 4 products are what I have been loving over the past few months.

Cherry Bomb | Quay Australia

After months and months of having my Instagram feed full of snaps of Quay Australia Sunglasses, and hearing about amazing collaborations such as the one with Shay Mitchell (PLL is my world), I felt it was about time I purchased a pair, and this couldn’t have been a better idea thanks to the lovely weather we had in London last week (and hopefully some nice sunshine again this weekend!).

Quick Fix Products | Oribe | Grounded | WOW

Whenever I get back from a summer holiday I always feel in need of a little extra pamper, to repair from the hot sunny climate, the salty sea and the gritty sand. As wonderful as the sun, sea and sand is when you're on holiday it doesn’t really do wonders for my skin or my hair. The day after we flew back I didn’t really have the energy for a full blown pamper so I just picked up three products that I knew would work perfectly for giving my hair and skin that little extra TLC it was in need of.

Feeling Refreshed

It's been a tough week getting back to reality and back in to the swing of normal day to day life. How magical would life be it be if every day you could stroll down to the beach with an ice cream in hand, and just spend your afternoon dipping in and out of the sea to cool off and go for a swim, to then lie out and dry yourself in the gorgeous sunshine. Not a care in the world, absolute bliss! But hey if that’s what we got to do every day then I’m sure after a while it would no longer feel like a holiday (maybe). I had the most amazing time away, the South of France is a truly beautiful part of the world, and considering the flight is only around 90 minutes, it’s such a quick destination to go to. Beautiful blue waters, golden sandy beaches, the best ice cream parlours, delectable food, luxurious shopping, and plenty of rosé. What more could you want when you get to have a week off from normality!

My Holiday Haircare Essentials | Oribe

Over the past 6 months Oribe have rapidly become my absolute favourite hair care brand, they are very much on the expensive side and before using them I thought the price of a lot of the products was absolutely crazy, I mean £46 for a Shampoo just sounded obsurd! However, it was Christmas last year where I was gifted by my lovely boyfriend the Net-A-Porter Holiday Beauty Box that included the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner, that my love affair with Oribe products really begun. I already owned the Dry Texturizing Spray, which is absolutely the best volumising spray I have ever used so from that I had a great amount of faith in the other products! I’d never been so excited to use a Shampoo and Conditioner than I was on Christmas Morning when I opened up the Net-A-Porter box, much to my boyfriend’s amusement (men just don’t understand these things do they!). Since that moment Oribe have been the only products that I wash my hair with, and are 95% the only hair styling products I use. It’s an expensive brand but one that is worth every penny in my opinion!

My Sheet Mask Saviours | StarSkin | 111Skin | WOW

I've always preferred sheet masks instead of your normal liquidy self applying masks, sheet masks are so much less messy and so easy to use. Once you're done with it you just peel it off and pop it in the bin. No need to faf about with cleaning a hardened liquid type consistency off your face! They feel like a much more luxurious treat as well. I find sheet masks are generally more expensive than most face masks but I also always find the results are 99% better! When it comes to decongesting skin and getting rid of blemishes then a cream face mask that I apply myself is always my first choice, I haven't ever found a sheet mask that works as well at decongesting like the Origins Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask or the Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin Clay Mask. When it comes to needing hydration and radiance, then a sheet mask is my go to pick. Three in particular have stood out over the years as my favourites that I always repurchase. Each offer similar results but are all different in their own way, and one of them even produces amazing results that lasts for 7 days after use!

Mulberry Sale Shopping | Small Designer Haul

In light of all that has been going on in the UK recently, it felt a bit odd to be talking about makeup and shopping but the reality is that it was such a nice distraction for me. Each time I’ve looked on social media there is just so much negativity being thrown around and it’s a real drag. I totally get that with the UK majority vote to be to leave the EU, this is going to be the talk of the town for a while and it has truly rattled some people’s cages. I’m all for younger people talking up and voicing their opinions and discussing politics, there’s not normally nearly enough of that anymore, but when people are posting horrible racist and ignorant comments it just gets way too much and isn’t something I want to be reading every time I pick up my phone and scroll through Facebook. I’ve been clicking that un friend button rather a lot since Friday morning. What has however been a nice outlet for me to take a break from all the heavy politics that are just everywhere right now, has been catching up on blog posts and YouTube videos. So I figured it would be business as usual here on my blog and I hope this can act a nice distraction for you also!

Charlotte Tilbury Haul

You may remember a little while ago I was very poorly and I ended up having a bit of a splurge on Charlotte Tilbury and promised a haul post, well here it is! Despite a few issues with their courier service which delayed the arrival of these wonderful products, I couldn't be happier with the items I purchased and I can’t wait to tell you all about them. It was a pretty big order, makeup and skincare galore!

My Top Tips For Surviving Erratic Weather

We've all been there, we woke up thinking it was a regular dull day, nothing particularly note worthy happening with the weather, we've thrown on our usual clothes, maybe with the added layer, grabbed our bag and left the house off on our journey to wherever it is we're going. We're walking and feeling a bit warmer than usual, oh the sun has decided to make an appearance (must mean summer's around the corner), oh my I'm actually getting a tad sweaty. I'll just take off a few layers to cool down. Ahh that's better. Oh whats was that drop on my face? Was it bird poo please dont be bird poo. Nope not bird poo thank god. Was it my own sweat? No I don't think so. Oh there's more much more, ok it's rain. Oh and it's getting harder and more aggressive. Great. My clothes are soaked I am soaked. I'll put my coat back on then.

Here are my top tips for surviving the erratic weather.

Perfect Summer Sunkissed Palette By Bobbi Brown

Ok so Bobbi Brown may have released the most perfect travel friendly summer eyeshadow palettes in their Sunkissed range. I know that’s quite a bold statement but I mean, the colours in all three palettes are just perfect, the packaging is beautiful and the size is super handy to just slot in to your handbag or makeup bag whilst on the go. Not to mention how versatile the colours in the palettes are! You can wear all 4 for a super summery yet sultry sparkly smoky eye, or just have fun using the colours individually. You'll always be able to create a soft minimal look as well as a stronger bolder look with each of these palettes.

May Favourites | Beauty | Skin Care | Lifestyle

Don't you always find yourself thinking when it gets to the last day in the month "hasn't this month gone quickly!" it happens to me every month without fail. Time just seems to shoot by as you get older, it’s crazy to think we’re nearly half way through the year already! As I was thinking to myself yesterday that I can’t believe its about to be June, I was brainstorming some blog post ideas and I realised how long it’s been since I've done a favourites post! I love reading other peoples favourites and I love writing them so I don’t know why I don’t do them every month! It was so easy picking my favourites for the month of May and they’re a little bit varied which is nice! I hope you enjoy reading what I've been loving for the past month.

Sunday Riley | Luna Night Oil | In Depth Review

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil is one of those products that just gets everyone talking, whether it’s about the price, the packaging, the brand or the cult following, you can always find someone talking about it. For that reason, I was slightly hesitant to review the product on my blog, however I was shocked at just how brilliant this mysterious and expensive liquid is! It took me a while to take the plunge in to buying it, you just never know how something is going to work for you and your skin, and when a product comes in at a grand total of £85, it’s not a product you purchase breezily. When something is priced at £85 you could argue that it's bound to be brilliant considering the expense, however that's not always the case. I've been left let down by expensive products before and it's so disappointing not only because the product didn't live up to my expectations but also because it leaves me feeling like I've wasted money. A little while ago Sunday Riley was suddenly a brand that every beauty blogger, beauty vlogger and ever beauty fanatic was talking and raving about. I've only come across a small number of negative reviews on the product, nearly every review I've read has been singing the products praises, but it still doesn't make it any easier to part with £85.

My Latest Wish List | Tom Ford, OUAI, Mulberry & More

Happy Tuesday to you all! I've been off the radar recently thanks to a horrendous ear and throat infection that had me bed/sofa ridden! It wasn't pretty, it wasn't fun, it wasn't relaxing and I honestly felt like I was on pilot mode for the week. Or like I was someones Sim and they just forgot to nurture me and left me to wallow in self pity! Anwyay putting the violins aside, I'm feeling much better now! I've still got a nasty cough and my ear feels funny when I lie down but overall I'm starting to feel much more human! Today I wanted to touch base with you guys and let you know about some awesome products that I've been browsing online. When you're on the sofa with your cat all day and have played catch up with all your favourite TV shows and read tonnes of magazines, all you can really do next is browse online!

The Perfect Classic Summer Lipstick | CHANEL

This is always the time of year where I rearrange the products that are on my dressing table, it's time to take away the dark berry Autumn and Winter shades and replace them with the light pinks and peaches that are Spring and Summer time appropriate. Whilst I was having a rummage through my Chanel products I was reunited with one of my all-time favourite Chanel Lipsticks, in the colour Séduisante. Full name, Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour, 91 Séduisante.

Skincare Saviours From Sarah Chapman

Over the past 4 months or so I’ve managed to become completely and utterly obsessed with my skin care routine, I love cleansing my face and appling lovely nourishing products to my skin and watching the improvements happen over time. To transform the condition of your skin is a long process, one that you have to be absolutely dedicated to, but one that is so so worth it. I’d never really shown much attention to my skin in terms of a specific routine, I was perfectly content with just Simple makeup remover wipes and any moisturiser I had from Boots at the time. Being a little older now and having specific skin concerns I knew it was time to dedicate myself to a skin care routine, and dedicate myself I did!

The One Product For Instant Deep Sleep

We've all been there, something important is coming up or your worries are eating away at you and try as you might you just cant fall asleep. And even if you do fall asleep, it's broken and come morning you never feel rested. I've experience this more than enough for my liking, I've been there lying in bed getting so frustrated that I've just sobbed. Sobbed and sobbed and woken my poor boyfriend up (as if the tossing and turning hadn't woken him up already)! Not being able to sleep when you're so tired is one of the worst things and you just know that it's setting you up to have a crappy day the next day! I'm so over the moon to have found such a simple product that ensures I have a peaceful and solid nights sleep every night that I wanted to share it with you. I've been using it for 5-6 months now and it is something that I now wouldn't be without, I use it every single night and even though it seems like such a simple product, it works wonders!

My Favourite Cream Eyeshadow Products | Charlotte Tilbury

My makeup love right now is for cream eyeshadows, possibly slightly bordering on an obsession but I'm just accepting it and going with it. I've used cream eyeshadows here and there over the years but I've never really been too fussed over them but I feel like they’ve had a really big revamp recently and now all our favourite brands are offering up the most gorgeous of colours and consistencies. My number 1 favourite has got to be the cream eyeshadow pots and pencils from the wonderful makeup range from Charlotte Tilbury. Now I’m sure it’s absolutely no surprise to you if you’ve followed my blog for a while now that Charlotte Tilbury is one of my can’t live without brands. I love every product that she offers and If you haven’t tried anything from her then I strongly recommend you do because you are missing out, especially on the cream eyeshadow side of things!

Luxury Shopping Haul | MAC & CHANEL

Over the bank holiday weekend a little damage was done to my bank account and I regret nothing! My best friend came to stay with me and we went shopping which only ever leads to one thing…. new makeup! After a few hours of shopping, swatching and gossiping we ended our afternoon with a very long leisurely lunch and a bottle of prosecco, before heading back to mine to eat mini eggs, put on face masks and re swatch all of our purchases! We spent so long browsing all the makeup counters and we both made a few purchases, mine being all from MAC and Chanel and it was wonderful.

Lets Talk About...Fake Friends

This is a bit of a different post today, it’s something personal that I wanted to share with you, all about my experience with false friends. My sister recently came to me with a problem relating to fake friends and I told her all about my own experiences and I gave her my advice on how to overcome these situations and it was so lovely to see that my advice really did help her. So I wanted to share it here as well in case it can help anyone else if they’re having a tough time with a so called friend who really doesn’t act like much of a friend.

Lush Face Mask | Dont Look At Me

I’ve never really been a face mask kinda gal but since discovering the ‘Don’t Look At Me’ mask from Lush, I am in love! The only kind of mask I used regularly before this product were sheet masks, they’re so easy to use especially when you’re travelling, but I really like the idea of applying a product all over my face and letting it sink in for 20-30 minutes and work its magic. However here was the problem, I’ve never used a facemask I really loved, they either upset my skin, didn’t work, or were so annoying to scrub off. I’m so invested in my skin care at the moment (like absolutely obsessed with it) and when I was in Lush a few weeks ago I was so intrigued by this bright blue paste product I just had to investigation. Turns out it’s a face mask that is perfect for sensitive skin that may be a little angry. I like the smell, I like the look of the product and I liked the price, I popped it straight in my basket and couldn’t wait to try it out!

Chanel Sunkiss Ribbon Powder Blush | Review

When I first saw the Chanel Sunkiss Ribbon Powder Blush, as part of the LA Sunrise Summer collection, I was smitten. A new limited edition blusher from one of my all-time favourite brands. I thought it was beautiful and the perfect product to transition makeup to Spring and Summer! Now with the product being from Chanel, it wasn't going to have a small price tag, the price of this little beauty is £44 but I luckily managed to get it a little cheaper as I had saved up some Debenhams points. When it arrived I opened it up immediately and just stared at it in wonder for a good 10 minutes, showing it off to whoever I could find in my house at that point. As far as blushers go this one is pretty special. The combination of all of the colours, the beautiful ribbon embossing with the Chanel logo, so many details and the colours oh my, they are just perfect and they all complement one another beautifully.

Super Clean Skin On A Budget | LA ROCHE-POSAY | Review

When it comes to skin care I am not one to shy away from the more expensive products, over the years I've ended up wasting so much money on trying all differnt kinds of drugstore products that just never worked well for me. I have very sensitive skin, prone to an oily t-zone, dry cheeks and I suffer with mild rosacea, so all in all, I've never found a skin care product that works well for me that is below £20-£30. When I received these two intriguing products from La Roche-Posay to sample I was rather excited but a little sceptical. After using both of these products for a good 4 weeks now,  I must say that I'm very impressed!

Smith & Cult | Spring Time Lip Gloss

Well how about that, it’s officially Spring! Although the weather would have you believe otherwise, I'm not letting it dampen my spirits! I am so ready for all the exciting additions that come with Spring, the (praying for) warmer weather, the brighter makeup, the change in fashion, no more boots + coats + a million layers just for stepping outside the house for ten minutes, afternoon drinks outside, and being one step closer to Summer! Focussing on the Spring makeup today, There's one product that is going to be taking centre stage in my makeup bag for the warmer season and I'm so excited to share it with you and tell you all about it!

A Weekend In Paris

Now if you happen to follow me on Instagram or Twitter then you would've seen that in February my boyfriend and I took a long weekend trip away to Paris. We both absolutely love Paris and we love how easy it is to get there, we always try go go to Paris at least once a year, and generally always in February over my birthday. It’s very cold this time of year but we love wrapping up and grabbing a coffee from Café George V and hot chocolates from Angelina and snuggling up wherever we go! Normally we stay in the Eiffel Tower area in the Hotel Eiffel Seine but this year we fancied a change of location so we stayed in a beautiful hotel on a side street along the Champs-Élysées in the Amarante Champs Élysées and I can honestly say that the location was perfect and the hotel was wonderful! A 2-3 minute walk from the hotel entrance and we were a quarter of the way down the Champs-Élysées (Arc De Triomphe way) and so we had a multitude of shops and restaurants quite literally on our door step. We were also a 5 or 10 minute walk away from two separate Metro stations so it was never difficult when we needed to travel to another part of the city. By chance we also found out that we were about a 15 minute walk away from the Yves Saint Laurent Head Office!

Flawless Face | Hourglass & Charlotte Tilbury

I would like to introduce to you my all-time favourite primer and my absolute favourite full coverage foundation! These two combined make such a perfect base for your make-up. It's honestly like skin Photoshop in two bottles, combined they create a flawless base that lasts all day with no transferring, no creasing and absolutely no wear or tear.

Lashings Of Lashes

If there's one thing that never really stays the same in my makeup bag, it's mascara! It's not that I can't find ones I like, or love, it's just that I struggle to find one that ticks every single box. I feel like mascara is a tricky one for most, I've yet to find a recommendation from someone where they have a mascara that does everything they could possibly want from a mascara, but that's not to say we can't love a mascara anyway! I personally have 5 right now that I love, sometimes I mix and match to reap the benefits of each one, and some of them work better than the others for certain makeup looks. 5 might seem a bit excessive but I do switch up which one I'm using rather frequently and I just can't seem to find the one just yet.

5 Steps To A Happier You

I've decided that this year is going to be an awesome year and I'm going to do my absolute best to just have fun, enjoy each day and make life long memories. I always think that by writing down your promises to yourself you're more likely to stick to them, or at least you'll have something solid that you can read back over if you're ever feeling a bit low or struggling and needing some positive affirmations. Now I'm not saying that I'm going to be able to stick to my 5 steps religiously but I really do want to make a strong effort to stick to them as best as I can. When you think about what they entail, they aren't that difficult to apply to your life, I think we all just get stuck in a rut in our daily routine and we need to make the effort to shake things up a bit to put a more positive spin on our days. These are my 5 steps that I'm going to take to make myself a happier person, this is going to be a great year for all of us I hope!

New In Beauty | Covet List

Now is the perfect time to have a revamp of your beauty closet, kick the January blues and have a peek at the new beauty releases from some much loved brands, some long awaited products and some exciting new items. There's been plenty of new releases so I'm sure there's something there to take your fancy. I for one am having an internal debate over all products mentioned in this little post!

Magic Skin Care | Charlotte Tilbury

I managed to get my eager paws on some samples of the brand spanking new Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream and Magic Eye Rescue, two products that I have been very excited to trial. With any expensive product, I always feel hesitant to invest my pennies straight away, sometimes just going by other peoples reviews and opinions just isn't enough. When it comes to skincare everyone has different skin and different preferences, you can easily have the same skin type as another person but you'd be surprised at how different your opinions can be on the same products. This is why I've decided to review these samples and try to let you know how I think it would pair up for each common skin type. Of course I'll be telling you my personal feelings towards both products and how they worked with my skin but I'm also going to try my best to offer a bit more of a wider review so you can see if it would work for you.

My Christmas Treasure

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you've all had a lovely break and some much needed rest. I took some time off work so that I had an extra long break, oh gosh it was much needed! Sometimes all you need is a little break to not really do anything in particular. Tom took the same time off so we took a little trip down to the Cotswolds which was just charming, I love spending time over there as it's so peaceful and beautiful! Apart from that we've just spent some real quality time together and it's been absolutely lovely. I'm went back to work today which was sad going back to reality but I do now have my Birthday to look forward to for next month!

I thought I'd kick this years posts of with a 'what I got for Christmas', this is in no way me bragging or anything like that, I absolutely love watching videos and reading posts of the same kind so thought why not share mine with you guys! I did seem to have a particularly lucky year with gifts and feel thoroughly spoilt by my nearest and dearest :)
